As Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with the Design team and suppliers in Vietnam to define and perfect the manufacturing process of the products. Job Description
+ Identify manufacturing risks for new carbon fiber and aluminum products, and provide feedback to Design team before tooling is opened
+ Assist Design and Quality engineers with 3D designs and 2D drawings. Ensure critical dimensions of new products can be measured; design and source custom gauges
+ Check critical manufacturing steps including tools, fixtures, SOPs and worker training; document thoroughly and track follow-up on any problems or risks found
+ Support supplier with process design and troubleshooting, including CAD design and sourcing
+ Inspect parts before testing to ensure they are acceptable quality, and after testing to analyze failure; develop a corrective action plan for quality and testing issues and communicate with global team through regular video conferences
+ Assess process stability and coordinate with Design and Quality teams to approve or deny the start of mass production
+ Work within an aggressive development timeline
+ Report to team leader and Design, Quality, and supplier teams to ensure alignment
+ Support the development of new manufacturing techniques with both hands-on work and CAD/2D support.
+ Support our Sourcing team by investigating potential new suppliers and material sources in Southeast Asia

+ Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
+ Minimum 2 years practical engineering experience with expert understanding in least one area:
+ Composite materials, Molding, Machining, Forging, casting and extrusion
+ Strong background in 3D and 2D CAD design; ability to quickly model fixtures and gauges
+ Very good written and spoken English
+ Excellent visual communication skills (drawings, photos)
+ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measurement instruments
+ Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills
+ Experience interpreting test results and creating action plans
+ Strong desire to work in a multi-cultural team environment
+ Able to live full-time in Vietnam with several trips to China and Taiwan per year
+ Preferred Qualifications (not required)
+ Practical experience with Pro/E or Creo
+ Practical experience with CMM, VMM, or other advanced metrology tools
+ Practical experience with CNC machining
+ Practical experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
+ Practical experience using statistics to analyze process stability
+ Passion for outdoor sports
+ Ability to communicate in Vietnamese and/or Mandarin Chinese
