R&D Center Manager

Job Description

Your future employer:

A pioneer in animal feed and health with over 60 years’ expertise in the industry. They are looking for an R&D Center Manager who will  lead the R&D team and manage the aquaculture R&D Center to ensure all operations to be aligned with corporate policy.

Your responsibilities:

Deployment of experiments

  • View draft experimental platform and commenting
  • Check, support and urge staff to carry out the right prototype, correct process, on schedule.
  • Resolve cases that arise beyond the capabilities of subordinates

Management of materials, equipment, assets…

  • Consider and approve plants to purchase materials, equipment in terms of quantity, price, type, quality, time as required by the experiment
  • Supervise the actual use (in terms of efficiency, safety, preservation)

Human Resource Management

  • Involve in recruitment work
  • Arrange the work related to departments in the centre
  • Supervise the observance of rules and regulations on hygiene safety, labor safety of employees
  • Review and approve overtime recommendations from departments
  • Develop and implement a job performance appraisal system
  • Evaluate the work efficiency
  • Develop annual training plan
  • Suggest welfare policy to maintain and develop resources

Development of internal processes and regulations of the centre

  • Assist the HR department in developing the rules and regulations of the centre
  • Review and approve department processes
  • Responsible for the implementation of the ISO quality management system

Our key requirements:

  • Hold a University Degree with a specialty in Aquaculture
  • 5 years' hands-on working experience in Aquaculture
  • Understanding aquaculture nutrition, able to design and to prepare trial protocols
  • Must be fluent in English or French
  • Good at statistical analyses and scientific reports, able to communicate scientific results in internal and external seminars and workshops
